EX-Choice는 동시대 영상 예술과 실험 영화의 흐름을 다각도로 조명하는 프로그램 섹션이다. 올해는 한국 단편 비경쟁 섹션과 스페인의 INTERSECCIÓN(인터섹션) 영화제와의 교류 프로그램을 선보이며, 독립성과 실험정신을 담은 다양한 작품들을 소개한다. 특히 ‘팔레스타인을 위한 씨앗의 노래’는 팔레스타인 원주민들의 토종 씨앗의 권리와 문화, 자결권을 주제로 하며, 환경과 식민 억압에 맞선 저항의 목소리를 담아낸 작품들을 중심으로 구성되었다. 본 프로그램은 용기와 다양성, 생태 및 문화 보존의 중요성에 대한 탐구를 통해 전통과 저항의 다채로운 목소리를 영상 언어로 풀어낸다.
EX-Choice is a program section that offers a multifaceted exploration of contemporary video art and experimental film. This year, it features a non-competitive Korean short film section alongside an exchange program with Spain’s INTERSECCÓIN Festival, presenting a diverse range of works embodying independence and experimental spirit. Notably, Seed Songs for Palestine centers on the rights, culture, and self-determination of Indigenous Palestinian seed custodians, highlighting voices of resistance against environmental and colonial oppression. Through an exploration of courage, diversity, and the importance of ecological and cultural preservation, this program expresses the vibrant voices of tradition and resistance through the language of film.
