THE FUTURIST is a condensed experience of film viewing, a single 360- degree animated shot in an empty 1920s cinema where the sound becomes a cacophony of past projections and the aural experience is closer to that of the projectionist than the audience.

<퓨쳐리스트>는 비어 있는 1920년대 영화관에서 펼쳐지는 하나의 360도 애니메이션 쇼트로 이루어진, 응축된 영화 관람 경험이다. 사운드는 과거 상영들의 소음이 뒤섞인 불협화음이 되며, 청각적 경험은 관객보다는 영사기사의 경험에 더 가깝다.

Bio

Emily Richardson is a filmmaker and researcher examining the trace of human presence on particular landscapes and sites on the cusp of change with a focus on the relationship between architecture and its natural surroundings. Richardson’s films document sites of power and corporate interest at particular moments in time uncovering layers of narrative embedded in these contested landscapes, whether East London prior to the Olympics, abandoned military architecture of the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment of Orford Ness, the oil industry on the Scottish coastline, the contentious expansion of Sizewell nuclear power station, or the exploitation of the Far North. She has also made a trilogy of films on three modernist homes in East Anglia which attempt to counter the narrative of the heroic aesthetic icon by attending to the quietly radical ways these buildings were inhabited.
