경쟁부문 EX-Now 상영작은 4개월간의 공모를 통해 80개국에서 접수된 2,400여 편의 작품과 국내외 배급사 작품들 가운데서 선정되었다. 보다 의미 있는 작품을 고른다는 것은 고민, 질문, 확인의 연속이었으며, 올해의 선정은 그 과정을 통해 도달한 결과다. 총 34편이 7개 프로그램을 통해 상영되며, 국제부문(EX-Now 1~5)과 국내부문(EX-Now 6~7)으로 구분된다. 본심 심사위원단의 심사를 거쳐 최종 3편의 수상작이 결정된다.
The films selected for EX-Now, EXiS's competition program, were chosen from over 2,400 submissions received from 80 countries over a four-month open call, alongside works from domestic and international distributors. Selecting works of genuine significance was a continuous process of deliberation, inquiry, and verification and this year's selection is the result of that process. A total of 34 films are screened across 7 programs, divided into the international competition (EX-Now 1–5) and the Korean competition (EX-Now 6–7). Three award-winning works will be determined by the jury.
