Description

The video is created as a poetic collage of facts and interpretations, using motifs from the life of the artist and David Vetter, the Bubble Boy. It is organized in four parts, two of which are dialogues in a dark, abstract space. The author of these dialogue scripts is David Vetter. They are borrowed from the book about the boy's life in complete isolation "Bursting the Bubble: The Tortured Life and Untimely Death of David Vetter".

The video was made in collaboration with Lāsma Bērtule, Andris Kudors, Una Eglīte, Māris Uzuliņš, Kristaps Opincāns, Kaspars Greizis, Uldis Sņķeris and Klāvs Mellis.

이 영상은 작가와 버블 보이, 데이비드 베터의 삶에서 모티프를 사용하여 사실과 해석의 시적 콜라주로 구성되었다. 작품은 네 부분으로 구성되어 있으며 그 중 두 부분은 데이비드 베터가 쓴 어둡고 추상적인 공간에서의 대화이다. 이 대화의 대본은 완전히 고립 된 소년의 삶에 관한 책 "거품을 터뜨리는 것: 데이비드 베터의 고문당한 삶과 때아닌 죽음"에서 발췌한 것이다.

이 영상은 라스마 브르툴레, 안드리스 쿠도르스, 우나 에글린테, 마리스 우즐리슈, 크리스탑스 오핀칸스, 카스파르스 그리지스, 울디스 쇠리스, 클라브스 멜리스와 협업으로 제작되었다.

Bio

Līga Spunde (1990, Riga) makes multimedia installations where personal narratives are closely intertwined with carefully constructed fictions. The interpretation and use of recognizable characters serves as an extension of her personal experiences, while tapping into general truths and accepted tropes. Usually, the content of the work determines the physical form of the conception, so a variety of media, techniques and materials are used in her unique installations. Spunde’s work is present in public and private collections across Europe, and she was nominated for the national Latvian Purvītis Prize in both 2022 and 2020.

리가 스푼데(1990, 리가)는 사적인 이야기가 세심하게 구성된 허구와 밀접하게 얽혀 있는 멀티미디어 설치 작품을 만든다. 일반적인 진실과 이해 가능한 표현의 방법을 활용하면서, 인식 가능한 캐릭터의 해석과 사용을 그녀의 개인적인 경험의 확장으로 다룬다. 일반적으로 작품의 내용이 구상의 물리적 형태를 결정하기 때문에 그녀의 독특한 설치물에는 다양한 매체, 기법, 재료가 사용됩니다. 스푼데의 작품은 유럽 전역의 공공 및 개인 소장품에 있으며 2022년과 2020년에 전국 라트비아 푸르비티스 상 후보에 올랐습니다.
