사회적 공간으로서의 거리에서 마주치는 사람들의 표정을 피사체 심도의 조절과 평면적 정사진을 이용해 개인적, 영화적 공간으로 묘사한 작품.

There is no eye contact between the people in this film, which points to a separation between private and public space. The film positions still imagery as a private space and motion picture as a public space. The relationship between these spaces is addressed by means of an exploration of depth of field, motion and flatness of image.

Bio

영화감독, 시각예술가. 첫 장편 극영화 ‹싱킹블루›(2008)가 제27회 밴쿠버영화제 용호부문에서 상영되었다. 서원태의 실험영화는 2021 베니스비엔날레 국제건축전, 밴쿠버국제영화제, 서울국제실험영화페스티벌 등 여러 영화제와 전시회, 갤러리에서 상영되었다.

SEO Won-Tae is a Korea-Born filmmaker and visual artist. His first feature film, Synching Blue was an official selection of the 27thVancouver International Film Festival of a ‘Dragon and Tiger Competition’. His experimental films have been screened at various film festivals, exhibitions, and galleries, including the 2021 Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition, the Vancouver International Film Festival, and the EXiS.
