Description
영화는 해바라기가 가득한 들판을 보여준다. 촬영 현장의 들판의 다른 부분에 자리한 특정한 식물의 패턴의 연속에 따라 프레임 단위의 연속으로 포커스는 조정된다. 필름 스트립의 개별적인 프레임들이 다양하게 자리하고 이들이 연속적으로 영사되는 때에 동시에 스크린위에 나타난다. 다른 초점 거리로 하나 하나 촬영한 해바라기는 영사되는 동안 하나의 시공간적 이미지를 형성한다. 다음해에 만든 <해바라기 색채>는 개별 프레임을 필터를 통해 광학인화한 작품으로 이 작품의 변덕스런 버전이다.

The film presents a field of sunflowers. The focus is adjusted frame by frame in succession according to a series of patterns on particular plants situated located in different parts of the field. The diverse configurations placed on separate frames of the film strip appear, when projected successively, simultaneously on the screen. Thus, filmed one after another at different focal lengths, the sunflowers combine during projection to form one spatiotemporal image. LES TOURNESOLS COLORES is a capricious version of the film.
