Description

A young man walks into winter, to try to overcome his own prohibitions: a love encounter with another man, and an encounter with the absolute and the Christian spirituality. GPS Signal Lost tells about his inner journey, combining Jura snowy landscapes, a medieval courtly novel, and a gay dating app on a smartphone. Shot on black and white Super 8 mm and built like a suspended mobile, the film is a meditative quest that alternates between the present time and a very distant past.

한 젊은 남자가 겨울로 걸어 들어가, 다른 남자와 사랑의 만남, 그리고 절대적이고 기독교적인 영성과의 만남 등 자신의 금기를 넘어서려 한다. ‹GPS 신호 없음›은 주라(Jura)의 눈이 내리는 풍경, 중세 귀족 소설, 스마트폰의 게이 데이팅 앱과 결합된 그의 내면적 여정에 대해 이야기한다. 흑백 슈퍼 8mm로 촬영된, 매달린 모빌같이 구성된 이 영화는 현재와 매우 먼 과거를 번갈아 가며 전개되는 명상적 탐구다.

Bio

Born in 1992 in France, Pierre Voland studied literature and cinema, and did an artistic master's degree at the École de Recherche Graphique (ERG) in Belgium. Influenced by the lyrical aspect of French and American experimental cinema, he integrates autobiographical and literature elements into his work. Using image and sound shifts, his first film Signal GPS perdu tells an inner journey between desire and spirituality.

피에르 볼랑(Pierre Voland)은 1992년 프랑스에서 태어났으며, 문학과 영화를 공부한 후 벨기에의 에콜 드 르셰르쉬 그라픽(École de Recherche Graphique, ERG)에서 예술 석사 학위를 취득했다. 그는 프랑스와 미국 실험영화의 서정적인 측면에 영향을 받아 자전적이고 문학적인 요소를 작품에 통합한다. 그의 첫 영화인 "GPS 신호없음(Signal GPS perdu)"는 이미지와 소리의 변화를 통해 욕망과 영적인 신념 사이의 내적인 여정을 그린다.
