23.5cm의 발을 가진 나의 한 걸음은 30.83 프레임만큼의 공간을 차지하고 그 길이는 필름 위에서 약 1.28초가 된다. ‘완전한’ 발(1ft)을 가진 Daniel Murphy는 한 발을 내딛는데 1.7초가 걸리고 30.48cm 만큼 갈 수 있다. 그보다 훨씬 작은 발을 가진 Erica Song은 1.22초가 소요되는 발로 22.5cm 만큼 갈 수 있다.

우리는 같은 지점에서 출발해서 앞으로 걸으면 걸을수록, 필름이 지속될수록 서로의 거리가 멀어질 것이다.

With my 23.5 cm feet, my single step occupies 30.83 frames of space and is about 1.28 seconds long on film. Daniel Murphy, with his 'perfect' foot (1ft), takes 1.7 seconds to take a step and can go 30.48cm. Erica Song, who has much smaller feet, can go as far as 22.5 cm on her feet in 1.22 seconds.

We start from the same point and the further we walk, the further the distance from each other will increase as the film continues.

Bio

홍익대학교에서 시각디자인을, California Institute of the Arts 대학원에서 Film and Video를 공부하였다. Australian Paper, FOOTAGE, (100ft), "레드필터가 철회됩니다." 등의 필름들이 베를린 영화제, 토론토영화제, 서울독립영화제 등 국내외 영화제와 전시공간을 통해 발표되었다. Exis에서는 FOOTAGE(2016)로 중운상을, "레드필터가 철회됩니다."(2020)로 Best Korean Exis상을 수상하였다.

Kim Minjung studied visual design at Hongik University and Film and Video at California Institute of the Arts. Her films including Australian Paper, FOOTAGE, (100 ft), "Red filter is withdrawn." were presented through domestic and international film festivals and exhibition spaces, such as the Berlin Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, and Seoul Independent Film Festival. At EXiS, she won the Joongwoon Award for FOOTAGE (2016) and the Best Korean Exis Award for "The Red Filter is Withdrawn" (2020).
