Bio

Hello, my name is Elza and I’m a young latvian artist, based in some Latvian forest. Recently I have finished Bachelor and Masters degree in Art Academy of Latvia, department of Visual communication.
There's no certain borders in the use of the medium. A photography can turn into a collage or drawing, a video can dissolve in the environment it’s within, an installation becomes a part of the surroundings. That’s the goal – to dissolve all of existing perceptional borders.
My work is focused on the investigation of the human personality, on the space within and around of the borders of his figure - who they are, who they think they are, how they act in a certain situations in relation to their environment and other species?
The main base and knowledge comes out of researching my own personality; Its reflections that appear in relation of the common societal viewpoint. It means that in some way It will always be a piece about myself, but the viewer mostly has given the main role in the situation of the artwork.
I like to work with the space and the objects within it. Daily items, that comes together with a certain individual (racial for example) meaning, can be turned in to a story. I believe in Art as a language, a tool that can create a transcendental experience. So, at the moment my main task is to create an multidimensional environment that can directly change the perception of the individual.For now, I'm just looking for an opportunity to create these ideas in the material plan.

안녕하세요, 제 이름은 엘자이고 라트비아 숲에 거주하는 젊은 라트비아 예술가입니다. 최근 저는 라트비아 아트 아카데미 시각 커뮤니케이션과에서 학사 및 석사 학위를 마쳤습니다.
매체의 사용에는 일정한 경계가 없습니다. 사진은 콜라주나 드로잉이 될 수 있고, 비디오는 그것들의 환경에 합쳐질 수 있으며, 설치물은 주변 환경의 일부가 됩니다. 기존의 모든 인식 경계를 해체하는 것, 그것이 목표입니다.
내 작업은 인간의 성격, 인물의 경계 안팎의 공간에 대한 조사에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 즉, 자신이 누구인지, 자신이 누구라고 생각하는지, 환경 및 다른 종과 관련하여 특정 상황에서 어떻게 행동하는지에 대한 것입니다.
작업의 주요 기반과 지식은 나 자신의 연구에서 나옵니다; 일반적인 사회적 관점에 대한 개인적인 반영, 반응입니다. 어떻게 보면 항상 나 자신에 대한 작품이라 할 수 있지만, 작품의 상황에서는 관객이 대부분 주된 역할을 하게 됩니다.
저는 공간과 그 안에 있는 물건들을 가지고 일하는 것을 좋아합니다. 특정한 개인(예를 들어 인종)의 의미와 결합된 일상적인 아이템은 이야기로 바뀔 수 있습니다. 저는 미술이 언어이자 초월적 경험을 창조할 수 있는 도구라고 믿습니다. 그래서 현재 저의 주요 임무는 개인의 인식을 직접적으로 바꿀 수 있는 다차원적 환경을 만드는 것입니다. 지금은 물질적 차원에서 이러한 아이디어를 만들 수 있는 기회를 찾고 있습니다.
