이 영화는 수평적으로 내닫는 일련의 바다 조류의 파도들로부터 시작하며, 때로는 산을 배경삼고, 때로는 손으로 그린 무늬로, 때론 단계별로 그린 손그림으로, 때로 빨간색이 든 파란색 음영으로 왜곡된(걸려버린) TV 화면처럼 구성된 추상화로, 때로는 카메라 렌즈 안의 굴절된 빛으로 때로는 물의 반사와 혼합되기도 하는데, 이 "엮기"는 간혹 알아볼 수 있는 형상의 새와 인간, 물 속의 덧없는 인간의 형상, 노 젓는 배의 먼 형상, 사람의 그림자 등등을 드러낸다. 점점 더 가까워지는 물, 물에서 반사되는 빛,  뿐만 아니라 롱샷으로 잡아낸 불의 폭발, 바다 풍경과 다른 모든 뒤얽힌 이미지들을 교차시킨다. 결국 뭉게구름으로 가득 찬 하늘을 가로지르는 멀리 떨어진 배구공의 포물선: 이것은 바다에 있는 젊은 남녀의 실루엣으로 배치되고, 부드러운 초점 나무 사이의 열린곳으로부터 극도로 초점이 맞지 않는 자창밖의 이미지로 이어진다. 깎은 나무 톱니가 갑자기 프레임을 스쳐 지나간다. 그런 다음, 영화는 부드러운 초점으로 바다에 의해 전경화된 수평선에서 끝나며, 천천히 오르락 내리락하다가 프레임 안에서 다시 오른다. 이 영화는 '어린이 정원'과 '심각한 바다'의 동반작품이다.

The film begins with a series of horizontally running ocean tide waves, sometimes with mountains in the background, hand-painted patterns, sometimes step-printed hand-painting, abstractions composed of distorted (jammed) TV shapes in shades of blue with occasional red, refractions of light within the camera lens, sometimes mixed with reflections of water - this "weave" of imagery occasionally revealing recognizable shapes of birds and humans, humans as fleeting figures in the water, as distant shapes in a rowboat, as human shadows, so forth. Increasingly closer images of water, and of light reflected off water, as well as of bursts of fire, intersperse the long shots, the seascapes and all the other interwoven imagery. Eventually a distant volleyball arcs across the sky filled with cumulus clouds: this is closely followed by, and interspersed with, silhouettes of a young man and woman in the sea, which leads to some extremely out-of-focus images from a front car window, an opening between soft-focus trees, a clearing. Carved wooden teeth suddenly sweep across the frame. Then the film ends on some soft-focus horizon lines, foregrounded by ocean, slowly rising and falling and rising again in the frame. This film is a companion piece to A CHILD'S GARDEN and THE SERIOUS SEA.
