전 세계 사람들의 이주에 대한 역사와 진실의 중첩은 끊임없이 도전받고 새롭게 변화하고 있다. 이 비디오 작품은 텍스트에서 묘사하는 새들의 떼처럼 시문의 구어를 활용한다. 단어들은 겹쳐지고, 단어에 대한 단어가 스스로 모여든다. 하나, 둘, 셋, 네 겹의 반복과 중첩: 루프, 불협화음, 조화, 불협화음. 

멀티트랙 음성녹음과 폐쇄회로 영상은 감각에 존재하고 지속적인 문화적 긴장감을 뒷받침하는 숨겨진 변수의 일부분을 명확히 표현하는데 사용된다. 이 작품은 아일랜드 국경 바로 남쪽 동해안의 쉘링 힐 비치에서 펼쳐진 초기 라이브 퍼포먼스의 연장선이다. 알려지지 않은 장소에서의 비밀 작전은 국경 너머에 메시지를 전달한다. 복잡한 정보 라인이 그녀의 어두운 구석을 가로채고 메시지들의 메아리가 안에서 밖으로 연달아 전달된다. 배신의 속삭임이 자유에 대한 의지를 나타내는 공동체의 시적 서사 속에서 울려 퍼진다. 

The overlay of histories and truths of the migration of people across the globe are continually challenged and renewed. This video work utilizes the spoken word of written poetics, like the gatherings of birds the text describes. The words are overlaid, words on words becoming gatherings themselves. One, two, three and four layers of repeats and overlays: a loop, a cacophony, a harmony, a dissonance. Multitrack voice recordings and closed circuit video are employed to inhabit the senses and articulate some aspects of hidden variables underlining persistent cultural tensions. Swallow is an extended work from an initial live performance on Shelling Hill Beach on the east coast just south of the Irish border. Covert operations at unknown locations communicate messages beyond borders. Complex lines of intelligence intercept her dark corners, an echo of messages relayed from inside to out. The murmurs of betrayal reverberate in the poetic narrative of collective pronouns that mark a will to freedom.
