Description

I'm not sure if these are gnats or midges in this film. They were swarming under a tree as I filmed them against the sky. That piece of film was placed in an optical printer and re-filmed in increasing close-up until the gnats (or midges) appear to combine with the grain structure of the film.

이 작품 속 곤충들이 각다귀인지 작은 깔따구인지는 확실하지 않다. 그것들은 나무 아래에서 떼 지어 날고 있었고, 나는 하늘을 배경으로 이를 촬영했다. 이후 이 필름을 옵티컬 프린터에 넣어 점점 더 확대하며 다시 촬영했다. 그 결과 곤충들은 필름의 입자(grain)와 하나로 뒤섞이는 것처럼 보인다.
