Description

Floating was made from footage shot traveling across the USA in 2002 before I returned to Singapore for good. The images are paired with the sound of passing cars against a sequence of almost person-less images. The titles of these early films quietly frame how they might be read.

《부유》는 싱가포르로 영구 귀국하기 전인 2002년, 미국을 횡단하며 촬영된 푸티지로 만들어졌다. 사람들이 거의 등장하지 않는 이미지들의 연속 위에 지나가는 자동차 소리를 짝지었다. 이 초기 작품들의 제목들은 어떻게 읽힐 수 있는지 은밀하게 규정짓는다.
