아시아 포럼은 동시대 아시아 실험영화의 현황을 국내에 소개하고 작품 교류와 다양한 연구자, 기획자와의 지속적인 연대를 기반으로 영화제의 기능을 확장시키기 위해 2009년 처음 개설되었다. 2026년에는 베트남 하노이를 기반으로 활동하는 독립 예술가 주도 공간이자 콜렉티브인 냐산 콜렉티브(Nhà Sàn Collective)를 소개한다. 국가 검열과 제도적 제약 속에서도 독립적 예술 생태계를 유지·확장해온 냐산 콜렉티브는 지역 기반의 네트워크 구축과 국제 교류를 병행하며, 동시대 베트남 실험예술의 중요한 거점 중 하나로 평가된다.
Asia Forum was established in 2009 to introduce the current landscape of experimental film in Asia to Korean audiences, and to expand the role of the festival through sustained exchange - both of works and of researchers and curators across the region. In 2026, the program presents Nhà Sàn Collective, an artist-run space and collective based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Working to maintain and expand an independent artistic ecosystem in the face of state censorship and institutional constraints, Nhà Sàn Collective pursues community-based network-building alongside international exchange, and is recognized as one of the key sites of contemporary experimental art in Vietnam.
