<트랜지스터>는 사운드와 이미지를 직접 엮을 수 있는 훌륭한 모델을 보여준다. 짧고 부드러운 노이즈 파편을 동반한 기하학적 격자 구조물은 텅빈 사진 프레임, 선과 평면이 다양한 강도, 빛, 반광, 굵직한, 아주 굵직한 것들과 같은 시각적 스타카토로 나타난다. 이는 거칠고 폭발하는 소리와 함께 시각적 매트릭스를 위치시키고 동시에 그래픽 요소와 음향 요소가 항상 중첩된 인터페이스로 디지털 문화속으로 걸어잠그는 매트릭스 같은 특징을 드러낸다. 만약 구조영화가 전통적으로 가시적 시계를 기하학적이고 개념적 이미지로 환원시킬 수 있다는 가정에 기반한 것이라면, 쉬웬트너는 그러한 환원적 과정을 재맥락화한다. 일렉트로닉한 문화의 역동적인 구조적 모델의 종류는 장르를 넘어서 가시적인 것이다. transistor shows an excellent model for a direct coupling of sound and image. Accompanied by short, choppy segments of noise fragments, geometric gridworks appear with equal abruptness, as in a visual staccato: empty picture frames, lines and planes in varying intensities, light, semi-light, bold, extra-bold, etc. This not only places a visual matrix underneath the rasping, eruptive sound as a foundation, it also reveals the underlying matrix-like quality, the locking function in the digital culture as the interface at which graphic and acoustic elements have always overlapped. If structural film traditionally proceeded from the assumption that the visible world could be reduced to a geometric and conceptual image, Schwentner re-contextualizes such reduction processes: A kind of a dynamic structural model of an electronic culture which is crossing the genre is made visible.
