On 1972 the astronaut Charles Duke landed on the Moon on the Apollo XVI. He was in charge of taking photos of the lunar surface with a high-resolution camera. ‘The Sasha’ is a story about the human perspective on Earth and our constant struggle with our temporal and spatial limitations. From the exploration of space to cyberspace, from an analog Moon in 1972 to a virtual Moon in Google Earth today. A film about parallel universes where eternity seems to be lost between frames and interfaces.

마리나 몰리나 페이로는 스페인 영화작가이자 오디오비주얼 아티스트로 미술교육을 받았다. 그녀는 오픈 포맷, 믹싱 필름, 실험 애니메이션, 뉴 미디어 작업을 해오고 있다. 그녀는 인간, 기술, 자연을 연결하는 다층적 현실을 탐구한다. 그녀는 특히 지질학에서 디지털 메모리에 이르는 기억 체계, 그리고 영화와 과학의 관계에 관심을 갖고 있다. 그녀는 현재 인간의 자기 자신의 시공간적 한계와의 지속적인 투쟁, 이 투쟁이 문명과 기술에 미친 영향, 그리고 그 결과 우리 자신의 자연, 시간 등과의 관계 및 우리 자신에 대한 이해방식의 변화에 초점을 맞춘 연구를 진행하고 있다.
María Molina Peiró is a Spanish filmmaker and audiovisual artist, with a background in fine arts. She works in an open format, mixing film, experimental animation and new media. Her films explores layered realities that connect humans, technology and nature. She is particularly interested in memory systems (from geology to digital memory) and the relation between cinema and science. Her current research focuses on humanity’s constant struggle with its temporal and spatial limitations, and how this struggle has driven civilization and technology to change our relation with nature, time and our understanding of life itself.
