이 작품은 수퍼8mm 필름 4개(“밤 운하", “강설", “P를 위한 흰꽃", “기러기")로 구성되어 있고, 16mm로 확대된 흑백의 무성 작품으로, 각각의 필름이 이 작품에서 상호작용하면서 시적인 힘을 발휘하게 된다.

촬영 중 모든 편집을 진행한 네 편의 흑백 소품으로 구성된 필름 4중주라 할 수 있는 이 작품은, 운하의 희미한 빛, 내리는 눈, 피터 허튼을 위한 꽃, 그리고 날아가는 새들의 찰나적 순간을 포착한 시각적 시다.

The film consists of a composition of four individual Super 8 films (Night at a Canal, Snowfall, White Flowers for P. and Wild Geese), black and white, silent, blown-up to 16mm, interacting with each other and unfolding their poetic force.

A quartet of four black-and-white miniatures edited in-camera, Helga Fanderl’s Configuration in Black and White captures fleeting moments of visual poetry: glimmers from a canal, snowfall, flowers for Peter Hutton, and birds in flight.
