이 작품은 관객들을 다니엘의 이야기 속으로 초대한다. 다니엘은 이제는 은퇴한 미술교사로 1967년 파리에서 있었던 짧지만 강렬한 만남에 대해서 이야기한다. 재산관리인이 그에게 파리 중심부에 있는 16세기 건물의 설계도를 그려달라고 요청했을 때, 그는 “버드 레이디"라는 별칭으로 불렸던 열성적인 조류 수집가의 집을 방문하게 된다. 그녀의 집은 날아다니거나 새장 안에 있는 이국적인 새들로 가득차 있었다. 다니엘은 이 집에 머무는 동안 자신이 파리에 있다는 느낌을 잃어버리기 시작했다.
This adventure invites us to enter the heart of a story, which Daniel, a now retired drawing teacher, told us concerning a brief but striking encounter which occurred in Paris, in 1967. When an asset manager asked him to draw up a plan of a 16th-century building in the heart of Paris, he went into the flat of an enthusiastic collector of birds, nicknamed “The Bird Lady”. Her home was an exotic enchantment of birds either flying around freely or in refined cages. The more Daniel explored it, the less he felt that he was in Paris.

권하윤은 새로운 미디어 기술의 가능성을 연구하며 애니메이션, 다큐멘터리, 3D 등 다양한 영상작업을 선보인다. 실제와 가상이 뒤섞이며 재구성되는 그의 작업은 시간과 기억, 정체성과 경계에 대해 이야기한다. 특히 가상현실(VR)을 적극적으로 활용하여 가상의 공간으로 직접 들어가는 새롭고 낯선 시공간 경험을 통해 현실의 복잡성 속에서 객관적 진술과 허구적 해석 사이의 경계를 넘나들게 한다.
Hayoun KWON is a multimedia artist and documentary director.  South Korea born in 1981. She graduated from the Fresnoy – Studio national des Arts contemporains in 2011 and  she lives and works in France and in Korea. Her film Village Model’ (2014) and ‘489 Years (2016) has been awarded several times  and shown at a number of film festivals including the Rotterdam International Film Festival. The reflection on identity and borders is central to her previous works. She has focused more specifically on the construction of historical and individual memory and their ambivalent relationship to reality and fiction.
