Description

작가는 공기 중에 부유하는 가장 작은 입자와 끊임없이 진동하는 파동을 상상한다. 그 진동하는 선은 모든 사물을 파고들었다가 숨 쉬듯이 방출된다. 이 흐름은 우주의 상호연계성 안에서 모든 사물을 하나로 묶는다.

물질의 가장 작은 입자와 파동에 대한 상상은 필연적으로 시공간성에 대한 상상과 결부된다. 이 작품 ‘공기 비율’은 종이 위에 드로잉 애니메이션이라는 전통적인 제작 방식을 이용하여 미시적 세계에 대한 근본적인 물음을 던진다.

The artist is imagining some of the smallest particles and constantly vibrating and oscillating waves that exist in the air. Strings which burrow inside all things, living and inanimate, only to later be exhaled and continue on with their journey. This flow ties all things together in a cosmic interconnectedness. Imagining the smallest particles and waves of matter is inevitably tied in with imagining space-time itself. This ‘AIR.ratio’ animation poses a fundamental question about the subatomic world. The artist employs traditional drawing animation techniques using mainly pencil and paper.
