자신의 가족과 새를 스튜디오에서 촬영했던 나카지마 최초의 16mm 영화를 바탕으 여러 효과를 반복적으로 덧 씌워 완성했다. 이 연작을 제작하는 와중에 필름은 비디오로 변환되어, 작가가 고안한 전자 이미지 신디사이저인 “애니메이커"(고-퓨터라는 별명을 갖고 있기도 하다)를 사용해 디지털 효과를 만들어 냈다.
Based on the first 16mm Biological Cycle film that was shot in a studio with Nakajima’s family and birds, effects were added as more iterations were created. At some point the series was transferred from film to video, and digital effects using the “Animaker” (aka Ko-puter), the electronic image synthesizer Nakajima invented, were introduced.
