Description

Shot from a train approaching Birmingham New Street Station. I zoom the lens slowly towards the chimney as it moves into the distance, seemingly centred in a revolving landscape. Three copies of the film were intercut in rhythm with the passing pylons.

버밍엄 뉴 스트리트 역으로 접근하는 기차 안에서 촬영했다. 점점 멀어지는 굴뚝을 향해 천천히 줌을 당기자, 회전하는 듯한 풍경 한가운데 굴뚝이 고정되어 있는 것처럼 보인다. 필름 세 벌을 전신주가 지나가는 리듬에 맞추어 교차 편집하였다.
