This one-time event invites audiences to encounter the unknown variable x through an interplay of analog photographic slides, sound, fragmented text, and the materiality of Ilho Building in Toegye-ro 45, where the performance will take place on the evening of July 30, 2025.

2025년 7월 30일 저녁에 이 공연이 일어날 장소인 퇴계로 45가에 있는 일호빌딩의 물질성을 기록한 아날로그 사진 슬라이드와 사운드, 해체된 텍스트 등을 교차시켜 미지의 x를 경험하는 일회적 사건을 유발한다.

Bio

Park Youngsun: Park Youngsun explores the tension and abyss between the East Asian cosmological worldview and the Western modernity rooted in photographic and mathematical representation. Her practice combines research and creation, engaging in darkroom experiments that exclude the camera to test the materiality of the photographic medium. She constructs performative installations that collide analog and digital photography, moving images, text, and sound in search of (im)possible experiences and narratives.

Jin Sangtae: Jin Sangtae integrates his fascination with objects and space into musical and sonic experiences, creating both tangible and intangible music. The hard disk drive has long been a signature sound source in his work, alongside synthesized feedback and other acoustic/electronic sounds. Since 2015, he has published a daily one-minute recorded composition series titled Y.ear. He is also active in the audiovisual project Joongganja with Kim Inkyung, and runs the experimental space Dotolim.https://popmusic25.com

박영선: 동아시아의 산수적 세계관 전통, 그리고 사진적 수학적 재현에 기반한 서구적 근현대성 사이의 심연과 긴장에 관심을 가지고 연구와 창작을 병행해왔다. 카메라 장치를 배제하고 사진 매체의 물질성을 실험하는 암실 작업, 그리고 아날로그-디지털 사진이미지, 동영상, 텍스트, 사운드 등을 충돌시키는 수행적 설치 작업을 통해 (불)가능한 경험과 내러티브를 모색 중이다.

진상태: 사물과 공간의 흥미를 음악/음향적 경험에 녹여 유/무형의 음악을 만들어 오고 있다. 하드디스크는 오랜 시간 그를 대표해 오고 있는 발음체이며 피드백과 그외 소리들을 합성, 어쿠스틱과 전자음악을 오간다. 매일 1분씩 녹음 작곡 작품 <Y.ear>를 2015년 부터 공개중이며, 김인경과의 오디오비주얼 프로젝트 ‘중간자 Joongganja’ 로도 활동중이다. 공간 '닻올림'을 운영하고 있다. https://popmusic25.com
