Bio

배채연은 네덜란드에서 활동중인 시각예술가이자 연구자이다. 그래픽 디자인과 비주얼 저널리즘을 공부한 뒤, 영상 매체를 중심으로 사회기술적 일상과 엮여있는 감각적 경험과 체화된 지식에 주목하며 작업을 이어가고 있다.

Cyan Bae (b. 1993, KR) is a visual artist and researcher based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Working primarily with moving image, Cyan explores felt experiences and embodied knowledge entangled with socio-technical systems. As a PhD Candidate at the Institute of Political Science, Leiden University, their ongoing research investigates the socio-political implications of algorithmic emotion recognition and deception detection technologies through filmmaking as a research method, as part of the Security Vision research project.
