Description

After the established diagnosis and the initial fear of its development, Ivan Faktor decided to visualize his own state with Parkinson's disease with a mobile phone camera. After 50 years of filmmaking, his passion for art and life is still here. He is filming himself, his wife, the yard, the street, the studio, and above all the light attractions in his house. Faktor records everyday life, but disrupts the daily structure by intervening in reality using light attractions or optical obstacles like his own trembling fingers. Through interventions in documentary situations, he creates a surprising inner world of an artist imprisoned in space. 

파킨슨병을 진단받고 병이 커질 것에 대한 불안을 겪은 이반 포크터는 휴대폰 카메라로 자신의 상태를 시각화하기로 결심한다. 50년 넘게 영화를 제작했지만 예술과 삶에 대한 그의 열정은 여전히 살아 있다. 포크터는 자기 자신, 아내, 마당, 거리, 스튜디오,  집 안의 모든 빛 설치물을 촬영한다. 그는 일상을 기록하지만, 빛 설치물이나 자신의 떨리는 손가락 같은 시각적 장애물로 현실에 개입하며 일상의 구조를 깨뜨린다. 이러한 다큐멘터리 상황에의 개입을 통해, 그는 공간에 갇힌 예술가의 놀라운 내면 세계를 드러낸다.

Bio

Ivan Faktor was born in 1953 Crnec, Croatia. He is engaged with experimental film, photography, video and video installations. He has been shooting films and video works continuously since 1975. Since 1979, he has been participating in conceptualist actions and exhibitions, performances with video and film and setting up installations. He participated in 1995 at the 46th Biennale in Venice (A Casa/At Home 2), and in 2002 was the representative of Croatia at the 25th Biennial in Sao Paulo. He received numerous awards, both for his visual art and films. 

Ivan Faktor는 1953년 크로아티아의 크네츠에서 태어났다. 그는 실험 영화, 사진, 비디오 및 비디오설치에 관심을 가지고 있으며, 1975년부터 지속적으로 영화와 비디오를 촬영해 왔습니다. 1979년부터는 개념주의적 행동과 전시, 비디오와 영화를 이용한 퍼포먼스, 설치물 세팅에 참여해 왔다. 그는 1995년 베니스비엔날레 제46회 (A Casa/At Home 2)에 참여했고, 2002년에는 사우파울루 비엔날레 제25회에서 크로아티아 대표로 활동했다. 그는 시각 예술과 영화 분야에서 다수의 상을 수상한 바 있다.
