Bio

Matt Whitman (he/they) is originally from southeastern Pennsylvania and lives/works in Brooklyn, New York. In the last year, his 16mm and Super8 films have recently screened at UnionDocs, Winnipeg Underground Film Festival, Cosmic Rays in Chapel Hill, NC, Light Matter in Alfred, NY, CROSSROADS in San Francisco, the Mimesis Documentary Film Festival in Boulder, CO, the Brooklyn Film Festival and Light Field 2023 in San Francisco. In 2023, he was an artist in residence in the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s Arts Center at Governor’s Island and at the Tides Institute and Museum of Art in Eastport, Maine in June 2024 working with lower-toxicity film processing techniques.

맷 휘트먼(그/그들)은 펜실베니아주 남동부 출신으로 뉴욕 브루클린에서 살고 있다. 그의 16mm와 Super8 영화는 최근 유니언닥스, 위니펙 언더그라운드 영화제, 코스믹 레이즈 (노스 캐롤라이나), 라이트 매터(뉴욕), 크로스로드(샌프란시스코), 미메시스 다큐멘터리 영화제, 브루클린 영화제 및 라이트 필드 영화제에서 상영되었다. 2023년에는 도지사섬의 로어 맨하탄 문화 위원회 예술 센터와 2024년 6월 메인주 이스트포트의 타이즈 인스티튜트 및 미술관에서 저독성 영화 처리 기술을 담당했다.
