Description
A movie begins after the doors of a burning theater close. Left behind as the audience departs, the burning theater falls into a slumber. Inside the dream, images melt like water, and the audience is released from the hypnosis that had bound them.
불 타는 극장의 문이 닫힌 뒤 시작하는 영화. 불타는 극장은 떠나가는 관객을 뒤로 한 채 잠에 빠진다. 꿈의 내부에서 이미지는 물처럼 녹아 내리고 관객들은 그를 속박하고 있던 최면으로부터 풀려 나온다.
Bio
HeeSue Kwon is a film director and audio-visual performance artist. She focuses on expanding perspectives and the correlation between optical devices and physical sensations as a methodology for proposing visions of the future and reordering social structures. Recently, she has been paying attention to archetypal images that transcend conceptual thought systems and the potential narrative forms that enable them. Her films have been featured at multiple film festivals in Korea and abroad.
권희수는 영화감독이자 오디오 비주얼 퍼포먼스 아티스트다. 미래의 비전을 제시하고 사회적 질서를 재배치하는 방법론으로서 시점의 확장, 광학장치와 신체적 감각의 상관관계에 주목하는 작업을 하고 있다. 최근에는 관념적 사고체계를 넘어서는 원형적 이미지와 이를 가능하게 하는 잠재적 서사형식에 주목하고 있다. 그녀의 영화는 한국을 비롯한 해외 다수의 영화제에서 상연되었다.
