[NEWSLETTER 4] 제19회 서울국제실험영화페스티벌 개막공연 안내 / EXiS2022 Opening Performance

제19회 서울국제실험영화페스티벌이 이번 주 7월 14일 (금) 개막을 앞두고 있다. 올해 제19회 영화제를  맞이하여 코로나 팬데믹 이후 처음으로 개막식을 개최하면서 관객 및 영화 관계자들과의 만남을 기대하고 있다.

개막공연은 라파엘의 라이브 시네마 프레젠테이션 "UNTITLED"이다. 최근 삼부작 작업  " UNTITLED"의 마지막 파트로서, 이 공연은 처음으로 공개되는 프리미어 작품이다. 이전 두 작업은 현대적으로 각색한 한국 민화와 고립 및 질병을 다루었고, 본 공연은 이전 작품들의 사운드와 이미지를 라이브 편집을 통해 조작하면서 구성될 예정이다.  

The 19th Experimental Film and Video Festival in Seoul (EXiS) is about to open on Friday, July 14 this week. In celebration of the 19th Film Festival this year, the opening ceremony is held for the first time since the corona pandemic, and we are looking forward to meeting with the audience and film officials.

Rafael will make a live-cinema presentation, a kind of live editing, by manipulating the sounds and images from his last 2 works, UNTITLED#2 & 3, of his recent triptych called "UNTITLED": one of his opuses is based on a Korean folk tale, adapted to our contemporary world. The other opus deals with isolation and illness. This 2 works have been created very recently in France and Belgium. This will be the very first time they will be shown.
